About Me

My passion for photography began in the summer of 2008 when I bought my first DSLR camera and started documenting life in my small town Poreč in Croatia. During my studies, I was lucky enough to participate in several Work and Travel Programs in the USA. Those working summers have broadened my horizons and eventually led to an internship at Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival. There, in the heart of the Grand Teton National Park, surrounded by some of the greatest nature and wildlife photographers, I realized that photography is my true calling. The same love for nature, mountains, and open spaces that I discovered in Wyoming, soon brought me to the Banff National Park in Canada. That is where I picked up an old Canon and started exploring analogue photography. I played with many variations of film and while doing so, I’ve noticed how my documentary technique and style are developing and changing. Those were exciting times for me and my photography, which made me start thinking about my next step. So, a year later, with newly gathered experience and knowledge, I decided to return home to Poreč to start my own photography business.

My approach to photography is, and always will be, to make my captures as authentic as possible. Whether we are talking about a big wedding celebration or an intimate gathering, an everyday family session, or a pregnancy shoot, it’s always the same. I care about how you’ll remember that day, and what’s important to you. With my candid documentary approach, I tend to be in the back, where you might not even notice me, but I am there, reading the energy of the room, capturing honest moments and truthful feelings of you and people you love. Being in front of the camera doesn’t come easy to everyone and that’s why I tend to meet with you several days before the shooting. I will do my absolute best to make you relaxed and make our session a pleasurable, easy-going, and fun experience. The best way to achieve this is by not taking ourselves too seriously.

Photography gives me the opportunity to conserve the beauty of everyday life. And by doing so, I like to think that I’m giving a small personal touch to stories and memories that will live on forever. If you are looking for a natural, documentary, candid style that can instantly transport you to a certain atmosphere and emotion, then please let’s connect. :)
